Individual, out of the box and radiating positive energy - that's how my tours are. Anja, born 1967, open water swimmer, salsa dancer and travel addict having traveled 70+ countries so far and thus knowing what a traveler needs. My passion is to turn cool facts into great stories. I am so happy that I can do this in both of my professions - being a city guide for Düsseldorf and a journalist specialized in economics. I highly value thorough education and delivering perfect service. As a journalist I have worked for the equivalent of Financial Times in Germany and can provide you with insights about German economy, politics and "Life, the Universe and Everything". - certified three star *** city guide - also working for the official tourist office in Düsseldorf - member of the German Professional Guide Association (BVGD) - certified Church Guide Please not: I am a guide for Dusseldorf only! I am not a driver guide. In Germany you need a taxi licence for this - otherwise guests are not insured. Therefor I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can recommend a limousine service (car and driver).

Düsseldorf is a still fairly unknown jewel ranking amongst the Top 10 cities worldwide when it comes to quality of living (according to the Mercer Quality of Living study). Everything is within walkable distance - I even got rid of my car. So let's walk - approx. 4 km with in 2 hours. If you walk slowly it will be up to 2, 5 hours. You'll get a good overview of Düsseldorf. We start at Königsallee, the "Champs Elysees" on the Rhine with luxury shopping. Then we head for the Media Harbour - a place of pilgrimage for fans of modern architecture where you'll see for example buildings by Frank Gehry. Then we stroll along the Rhine river promenade to the old town. Lots of history and stories there :) Even though I am not a party animal (any longer) I love the vibrant atmosphere of the old town which calls itself "The longest bar in the world": Hundreds of pubs, bars, restaurants and discotheques - and 4 microbreweries.
My tours are customized, there is no standard because I want to match your interests. On our tour you will get a glimpse of everything important in the city center: - Königsallee: An atmosphere of grandeur and luxury. Fun story about its name. - Old Prussian Parlament - beautiful park at Kaiserteich - Media Harbour: buildings of the most famous architects worldwide, including 4 Pritzer Price winners - the most beautiful promenade along the whole Rhine river - old town with historical city hall and market square - Neander Church and its connection to the Neanderthaler man - a walk through the "longest bar in the world"
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
It is a walking tour. Be prepared for uneven cobble stoned streets.
Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, 40212, Germany
Airport: ,Cruise: ,ByGuide: We will individually agree on a meeting point. My suggestion is the "upper end" of Königsallee: the beautiful Triton fountain overlooking the water. https://goo.gl/maps/j5k4VyjaNPRT27oH8?coh=178572&entry=tt
