Welcome to Provence ! Bienvenue. . . My name is Sandy, I'm 39 and I spent a large part of my life in tourism. After my years of university in Aix where I graduated as National Licensed Tour Guide & Lecturer, I decided to travel the world and I toured Europe with many groups before returning to Aix with plenty of experience, and enthusiasm for my job. I like to picture myself as a good example of Provencal folk: friendly, sociable, always smiling and engaging. . . oh and I love to dance ! My region is a unique combination of sun, culture, way of life and most of all « joie de vivre ». This is what I would love to show you since visiting Provence is mostly about pleasure, and I'll make sure that a smile never leaves your face. Guiding is mainly about sharing, this is why I chose to work with small groups; it is the only way to feel the place, to enjoy the eternal Provence. No matter what your interests are I will design a tour entirely tailor made for your group. Together we can discover the historic cities of Provence, Aix, Marseille, Arles, Avignon. . . We can also enjoy some of the countless gorgeous picturesque villages like Gordes, Les Baux, Saint-Remy, Cassis, Lourmarin. . . Seaside, the countryside or the mountains ; lavender fields, vineyards, woods or bushes ; gastronomy, art, architecture, farniente or workshop ; Provence has something to offer for everyone, it is a little heaven on earth. I will welcome you in any part of the region, from the elegant Aix to the glamourous Cassis, passing by the historic Avignon or the port of Marseille, for a door to door service, private, exclusive and enjoyable. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this private walking tour with Sandy! She was honestly so fun and enthusiastic and engaging!!! She did a great job of covering everything she had mentioned in her overview of what to expect during the tour. At the outset, Sandy spoke to the history of Arles and the surrounding area - this really set the stage for the remainder of the tour that followed. She was also happy to customize the tour to our particular interests. We also loved hearing about the culture and traditions in present day Arles. Without hesitation I would highly recommend this tour with Sandy, particularly for those who are new to the area!

We could not have asked for a better introduction to Arles than an afternoon with Sandy! From the moment we met her, her warmth, humor, and genuine love for Provence made the whole experience feel less like a tour and more like spending the day with a friend who just happens to know everything about the city. Sandy covered so much history (and covered it SO well) but never in a way that felt like a lecture. She had an incredible gift for making centuries of stories feel approachable and alive, and she shared details we never would have discovered on our own. We came away with a real sense of the heart of Arles. Beyond the tour itself, Sandy offered suggestions for other places to explore in the area, along with restaurant recommendations that really rounded out our day. If you are visiting Arles, do yourself a favor and book with her. You will leave informed, charmed, and wishing you had more time. We absolutely loved every minute!
