Hi everyone !! Here is some informations about myself you guys might like to know. . . I was born and raised in Toulouse (south west France). There I studied marketing as a young(er) man. I traveled quite a lot during my twenties (India, Australia, South East Asia, US, . . ), did many different jobs and went back to university during my thirties. Now I'm an independent licensed tour guide who loves to share his passion for Avignon and Provence. I am - of course - interested in so many different topics. But if I had to make choices I would say that History is a major one, Gastronomy (and more specifically Oenology) another one. Avignon being named the "City of the Popes" and "Capital of southern Rhône Valley wines", I guess I've picked the right place for living and working ! I think now it's time for us to get to know each other and share great moments. . Come join me on a walking tour and get yourself a real slice of Provence ! Cheers, Marc C. - License of national tour guide - Wine and Spirit Education Trust Level 2 I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

More than 2hrs in the picturesque old streets of Arles is enough to get a taste of it. A pleasant walk inside the historic center with a short detour along the Rhône river. On our way we'll find ancient monuments such as Roman baths, Amphitheater. The religious legacy offers also a large range of beauties from XIIe/XIIIe/XIVe centuries. . . all the way up to the XIXe century and - among others - Mr Vincent Van Gogh. Meeting Arles is meeting two thousand years (and more) of deep local art, history, tradition!
We will cover almost everywhere in the old town, from a must see to another. The route of our tour will be something like: - Rhône river - Roman baths - Forum square - Van Gogh - République square - Roman amphitheater and ancient theater - Medieval City Gate. One thing's sure, we are not walking too far/fast and the overview of Arles we'll enjoy together is made of short stops and short speeches. If during the tour you have any question or requests, I will do my best to make the route fit.
