Kutna Hora UNESCO World Heritage Site - Full Day Trip from Prague

Kutná Hora, once called the country's "jewel and treasury", is a famous former silver mining town in Czechia. Now a UNESCO Site, it's known for its beautiful Gothic & Baroque architecture, its untouched historic centre and its array of beautiful cathedrals & historic landmarks. On this tour, we'll see the majestic St. Barbara's Church, a prime example of Gothic architecture. I'll tell you about the church's history & of its patron saint, St. Barbara, whose image is scattered on the walls & stained glass windows. We'll visit The Church of Our Lady too, with its stunning Gothic architecture, amazing interior & tranquil ambiance, as well as the Sedlec Ossuary, also known as the Bone Church: a small chapel adorned with bones & skulls arranged in intricate designs. In addition to these visits, we'll wander through the historic town, which is lined with quaint houses, cafes, & artisanal shops. If your appetite kicks in, we'll be able to enjoy a traditional Czech meal in the historical "Dačický "restaurant.

·We will start the tour in Prague with a hotel pickup and an hour drive to Kutna Hora. ·Along the way, I will tell you about this UNESCO World Heritage Site's fascinating history. ·Once in Kutna Hora, we'll begin exploring the town first seeing the marvellous Cathedral of St Barbara. ·What follows will be The Church of Our Lady "Na Náměti". ·Next, we'll come across the unique Ossuary of Sedlec. -We'll then take a lovely stroll through Kutna Hora's historical centre, with its charming old streets and houses. -To conclude the tour, we can stop for lunch in the historical "Dačický "restaurant, where you'll get enjoy national Czech cuisine and taste Burgher’s brewery beer with more than 500 years of tradition. *If time permits, I suggest visiting the Italian court, which includes the Royal Mint and the Royal Palace. We could also view the famous Osel (donkey) mine, ranked amongst the deepest and richest in Europe from the 16th century. ·At last, we will return to our starting location in Prague.
