Day Trip to Terezin Concentration Camp from Prague

Terezin, also known as Theresienstadt, stands as a reminder of the atrocities committed during the Holocaust. I am a licensed guide of Theresienstadt, so I will make sure to share my vast knowledge of the site, and answer all your questions. Together will enter the solemn grounds of Terezin, where we will come face to face with the harsh reality faced by prisoners detained in this infamous camp. We'll also get to visit the Ghetto Museum and have the opportunity to watch a "Propaganda film". I will also guide you through the preserved barracks, the hidden synagogue, the Jewish cemetery and the Menorah monument. In addition to this, we will visit the crematorium, the small fortress and explore the Gestapo prison, and even gain exclusive access to a secret tunnel that most visitors do not get to visit unless they know a local guide! This tour of Terezin is a somber yet essential experience and will provide you with a deeper understanding of the immense suffering and resilience of the human spirit.

·We will start the tour in Prague with a hotel pickup and a 50 min drive to Terezín. ·Along the way, you will learn about the history of the Czech Republic and what it was like during the occupation in World War II and the tragic fate of the Jews in former Czechoslovakia and Eastern Europe. ·Once in Terezin, we will start our exploration visiting the Ghetto Museum's exposition and watch the “Propaganda film”. ·We will then visit The Magdeburg Barracks building with an extensive exhibition of unique artistic, musical, literary and theatrical work of the ghetto residents. ·Next, we will view the so called “Hidden synagogue”. ·Afterwards, we'll reach the Crematorium and the surrounding Columbarium, Ceremonial Rooms and Central Mortuary. ·In the final part of our tour, we will visit the Gestapo Prison and the National Cemetery with about ten thousand individual and mass graves. ·At last, we will return to our starting location in Prague.
