Translated, my name means "love", and I would like to wish you a very warm welcome to the Golden City! I started working as a tour guide in Prague in 1994, when I was still a student. Communism had just barely ended and foreign - especially western - tourists were becoming a more common sight. Much has changed since then, but I still enjoy sharing my love of Prague with visitors from all over the world. I specialize in Jewish tours due to my family heritage, but I've been doing this job for long enough now that I'm happy to show you any aspect of Prague you're most interested in. My two decades of experience have given me deep insight into the many hidden gems this city has to offer - gems less-experience guides might not be familiar with. After working for so many years with tourists, I know that your time in a foreign city is valuable and limited. My job is to ensure that you get the most out of your visit - not just rushing through the sites. I pride myself not only on being a professional but also on providing great personal attention to all of my customers. Very Experienced, attentive & knowledgeable
This was my second time visiting Prague and my second experience with Tour by Locals. However, this time my guide was Luba, who enhanced our exposure of the Jewish Quarter and brought history to life. We were so pleased with her knowledge, enthusiasm and flexibility that we engaged her as our guide to enjoy a day in Prague. Her scheduling for seeing specific sites placed us in locations that made viewing clear and timing perfect. She took us to some unique places and provided facts not found anywhere. Luba helped us in getting lunch reservations at the Chabad restaurant and she secured a reservation for us for a boat trip. To enjoy a special treat we highly recommend touring with Luba.
This was my first time visiting Prague and I wanted to learn about its history without the complication of being in a large group. I had my older parents with me and it was appreciated that we could drive to see sights when the walking was tiring for them. Ljuba has a wealth of information and was able to answer any questions we had. She was punctual and showed us sites that probably wouldn't have been seen with a large group tour. I would recommend her as your guide.
We had already had an introduction to Prague before this tour, but our guide showed us many parts of town that we probably would not have found by ourselves. Prague is such a beautiful place and we like it even more after being shown the history of the area.
Lyuba was our tour guide for 3 days. We did Prague Highlights, the Jewish Tour and Terezin with her. We are 4 seniors who thouroughly enjoyed our time with Lyuba. She shared so much infornation and was a pleasure to have her guide us through beautiful Prague. Sharing her personal stories made our tours even more special.
