Unique Walking Tour Orientation of Prague Old & New Town

David was bright, personable but not passionate about Prague and the Czech Republic. His country of origin is the UK and he has lived in multiple places. Our guides in Budapest and Vienna were truly locals and their passion for their country’s history, culture, art, etc showed throughout their presentations. I really liked him and he did an excellent job and was personable, enjoyable, but I didn’t get a great feel for the Czech Republic, its people, economy, etc. Maybe this is a moot point, but it’s important to us. David is a very experienced traveller and travel guide. He is extremely personable and knowledgeable about Prague. Our time passed very quickly, but we covered a lot of ground and enjoyed ourselves enormously. It really feels like you had a local friend showing you around. His route includes both the obvious “must see” sites as well as his personal favourites which won’t be on anyone else’s list of things to see. Excellent tour.

Our guide David was GREAT. Super knowledgeable, super polite and thoughtful. He knows the city inside and out and was able to navigate us through it without being part of the throng of other tourists. We saw so many cool things we wouldn’t see or find easily. It was the best major city tour we’ve had in recent years. Tour guides are not all the same. David is special.

My wife and I took this walking tour with David on the afternoon we arrived in Prague, and it was the perfect way to start our visit. David was outstanding—very personable, easy to talk to, and incredibly knowledgeable. His deep understanding of Prague’s history really stood out, especially his passion for the different architectural styles throughout the city. He didn’t just point things out—he explained the “why” behind what we were seeing, which made everything far more meaningful. One of the things we appreciated most was how thoughtfully he guided us through the city. David did a great job using side streets, hidden arcades, and clever shortcuts to avoid the crowds and tourist-heavy areas. It made the experience feel much more authentic and enjoyable, especially while navigating the afternoon heat. A real highlight was the stop at a charming local café that we never would have found on our own. It was clear he knows the city well beyond the typical tourist spots, and those personal touches made a big difference. Overall, this tour gave us a fantastic introduction to Prague and set us up perfectly for the rest of our stay. We walked away with a strong understanding of the city’s layout, history, and culture. We would absolutely recommend David to anyone visiting Prague.
