Hey there! I’m Jan – your licensed tour guide, drummer, music teacher, all-around history geek, and someone who believes every good city deserves to be explored with curiosity and a smile. I studied drums and percussion at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory (graduated in 1999), and music is still a huge part of my life. But since 2002, I’ve also been guiding people through the streets, castles, cafés, and hidden corners of Prague and the Czech Republic. I guide in English, Spanish, and Portuguese – so chances are, we’ll understand each other perfectly fine (and probably laugh a lot too). What can you expect on my tours? Think less “history lecture,” more “local friend showing you around his favorite spots.” I mix stories, humor, a few music references here and there, and plenty of insider tips – the kind that make you feel like you really *get* the city. I love taking people beyond Prague too – Český Krumlov, Kutná Hora, Karlovy Vary, Karlštejn, Konopiště… all magical in their own way. I also run guided transfers between cities like Prague–Vienna, Prague–Berlin, or Prague–Budapest. Why just travel from A to B when you can see something cool on the way? I’ve spent a year traveling across the Americas – from the U.S. to Mexico, Guatemala, and Brazil – and it taught me that travel is all about stories, people, and moments that make you smile years later. Visit one of my most favorite towns, a medieval jewel in Czechia, that was declared the UNESCO protected monument in 1992. Český Krumlov looks like a real fairy-tale town and I'm sure you are going to enjoy its well preserved narrow medieval streets, the unmistakable atmosphere on the riverbanks of old Krumlov, cozy terraces, restaurants, and souvenir shops. You can visit the interiors of the castle to learn about the 3 mighty noble families that used to live there for more than 750 years, visit the unique and original baroque theatre or walk through the beautiful gardens. I'll show you the best places to take astonishing photos. We'll stop also in Budweis to taste the world-famous local beer Budweiser and talk about the important pencil factory Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth. Really appreciated the tour that Jan arranged. I had been to Cesky Krumlov before, but saw parts of the town that I had not seen before. A lovely day wandering the town and seeing the sights!! Appreciated his knowledge and insights.
Jans was a great guide, friendly and knowledgeable. we say Cesky Krumlov and he was flexible with our schedule. I asked him many questions about the Czech Republic and he was very willing to answer and had good knowledge. Very nice guy!
if you are looking for a great day trip to see the countyside and a beautiful castle and grounds this is a great trip for you. We were able to learn alot of historical data on the way to the castle and enjoyed the little village around the castle. Jan was very knowledgeable about the area and the history. It is about a 2 hour ride by car to the castle, but well worth it.
Jan was terrific! We did a custom itinerary - pick up in Bratislava, visit Cesky Krumlov for 4 hours, drop off in Prague. Jan had a large Mercedes van that was super comfortable for the 4 of us plus held a ton of luggage. He is an excellent driver, a great communicator, and was entertaining. We really enjoyed Cesky Krumlov - what a wonderful village and castle! Thank you Jan for the terrific tour.

Walking tour through the charming streets of the Old Town and the impressive Český Krumlov Castle complex. We'll reach the best viewpoints for spectacular photos and, if you wish, visit the Castle Tower (optional). -13:00 – Free time for lunch, shopping, and exploring at your own pace. If you wish, you can also visit the castle interiors to learn about the three powerful noble families who lived there for more than 750 years, see one of the world's best-preserved original Baroque theatres, or stroll through the beautiful castle gardens.
