I was born in Prague and spent a happy childhood here. I remember taking long walks with my grandfather and visiting all the historical places. Little did I know that one day, I would be showing this beautiful city and country to people, from all over the world. My grandfather would be proud. Eventually, my family moved first to Germany, where I learned German and then to the USA, where I got most of my education. In the year 2000, communism having been abolished, I returned to the Czech Republic, and live in Prague again. On my return, I went through the proper schooling to get my guide license for Prague and the Czech Republic and lead tours in Prague and all the "worth seeing" places in this country. Due to having spent so much time in the USA and Germany, I speak English, Czech and German perfectly. I do occasionally stray and lead international tours outside of the Czech Republic in Europe and the world but for the most part, I stay in Prague. I love to show this magnificent city and country to people from everywhere. Having the local and global experience as well as the language knowledge, I am sure you will get the most out of your stay in Prague and the Czech Republic on any of my tours. Overview of your Prague tour
Merry Christmas! I will take you to the prettiest Christmas Markets in Prague, explaining our traditions along the way. Visit the market on Old Town Square, Square of the Republic and Wenceslas Square. An additional market, on Namesti Miru, where locals prefer to shop, is open until Dec. 23, 2025. Should your booking be while it is open, we will go there as well. This tour is available November 29, 2025 - January 6, 2026. Please note, this tour is not available on Dec. 24 due to the markets closing early. Happy Holidays!
Your Prague tour itinerary
After I meet you in your the hotel or accommodation in Prague, we will take a tram, into the city center, if need be. The sequence of the markets depends on where we start the tour. Along the way, we will stop for "Svarak" - the spiced, red wine or a non-alcoholic punch made with apple juice and spices, Christmas cookies, hot chocolate or whatever you fancy. Each Christmas market is slightly different. Our specialty in souvenirs is definitely the array of Christmas ornaments made right here, in the Czech Republic. They are exported all over the world. The tour will start in the afternoon and goes into the evening, so you can enjoy the markets with the Christmas lights all lit up. During our tour, I will tell you all about our traditions. It is "Baby Jesus" who brings us presents, not Santa. He is busy in other places :-). Enjoy the atmosphere, the food and the festivities. Find out who this St. Wenceslas was, that came on the day of St. Stevens. Our very own King Wenceslas.
