Nicosia - Limassol All Day Tour

We start from Nicosia (Lefkosia) and visit the ancient site of Kourion with a hellinistic theatre, and a villa with mosaics on the floor. The city of Kourion was flourishing during the ancient Greek and Roman Period. It was destroyed by 7 successive earthquakes in the 4th century AD. We also visit the Sanctuary of Apollon Ylatis nearby with the roman baths and the Greek Palaistra (ring). Then we visit the Kolossi Castle, where Richard the Lionheart and the Byzantine Governor of Cyprus Isaakios Kominos signed the subordination agreement for Cyprus. The area of Kolossi is also famous for its Commandaria wine, a sweet wine known as the King of Wines or the Wine of the Kings, first produced by the Knight Templars. We then drive to Omodos, where we have wine tasting and lunch at the winery. Our tour is then finished and we come back to our starting venue. Being an educated (and Licensed) tourist guide I will give you a deep insight of the rich history of the area.
