Limassol, successor of two city-kingdoms Kourion and Amathus where the old and the new co-exist in harmony. We begin our tour from the old port and the magnificent marina. We visit the 13th century medieval fortress related with Richard the Lionheart and Berengaria's wedding, which is now a museum on the Medieval history of Cyprus with Byzantine and Frankish monuments.

Next we continue through the surrounding area with stone-built warehouses and restaurants and we visit the Great Mosque or Kepir Mosque and the Cathedral of Agia Napa.

Next we walk through the Agiou Andreou pedestrian street in order to end up to the historical center and finally the sea-front pedestrian promenade.
A panoramic view of the coast line of the city will be offered too.
We will finish back to our starting point or another agreed-upon location.

Discover Limassol Highlights in an All Day Tour

We start from Limassol (Lemesos) and visit the ancient site of Kourion with a Hellenistic theatre, and a villa with mosaics on the floor. The city of Kourion was flourishing during the ancient Greek and Roman Period. It was destroyed by 7 successive earthquakes in the 4th century AD.

We also visit the Sanctuary of Apollon Ylatis nearby with the roman baths and the Greek Palaistra (ring).

Then we visit the Kolossi Castle, where Richard the Lionheart and the Byzantine Governor of Cyprus Isaakios Kominos signed the subordination agreement for Cyprus. The area of Kolossi is also famous for its Commandaria wine, a sweet wine known as the King of Wines or the Wine of the Kings, first produced by the Knight Templars.

We then drive to Ayios Amvrosios where we have wine tasting and lunch at the winery. Our tour is then finished and we come back to our starting venue.

It's always been my goal, to introduce my guests to my island and its people, so after a lot of thinking, and taking into consideration cruise ships limited time at port, I've put together an excursion full of culture and nature (It's what makes up life, right?).
We leave Limassol port and head straight to the mountains, passing villages and lakes along the way.
Our first stop is an ancient Venetian bridge which is a Unesco world site. We can go on this piece of history or paddle in the water running below.
The excursion continues on off-road through dense pine forests onto a secluded waterfall in the heart of the mountains.
We then proceed to a beautiful mountain village where we can enjoy a traditional Cypriot meze meal in the local tavern, stroll along the pebbled streets, visit the local winery for tasting (no extra fee) or just sit back and have a coffee amongst the locals.

Starting with a walk around the Medieval Castle grounds we head for a coffee shop nearby to enjoy our morning coffee, the way locals do. You will be introduced to the *ritual* of having a Cypriot coffee. From cooking and preparing tips and tricks to visualizing your future in the sentiment shapes at the bottom of the cup.
Lots of anecdotes and stories about the local culinary culture and life style.
Whatever route we take we will end up at the lunch place. A little kebab shop that was founded back in the early 1900's! This is where the fun begins! Starting with an aperitif based on local distil we will order local charcoal grilled Cypriot street food which we will share in meze style. The ritual this time involves a Libation, therefore your meal is accompanied by a local wine-based cocktail!. . . and more story telling ;)
