Explore Paphos your way

At ToursByLocals, we believe that how you explore is just as important as where you go. That’s why every Paphos tour is private, flexible, and built around you: Move at your own pace, skip the crowds, make connections and follow your curiosity. Find local guides offering private tours in Paphos for every interest, including:

Nature and Wildlife tours: Hike Avakas Gorge with a local who knows the safest route through the boulders, then swim at the Blue Lagoon after a boat ride from Latchi. In turtle season, visit Lara Beach’s protected nesting area with a guide who explains the conservation work and the rules that keep the loggerheads safe.

Food and Drink tours: Taste Xynisteri and Maratheftiko at Vasilikon or Vouni Panayia wineries around Kathikas, then linger over a village meze. Join a morning halloumi-making session at Letymbou Traditional House and sample warm cheese with fresh olive bread and a shot of zivania.

History tours: Walk the UNESCO Archaeological Park to see the House of Dionysus mosaics and the Roman Odeon, then continue to the Tombs of the Kings. Add a stop at the Sanctuary of Aphrodite in Kouklia and the frescoed Agia Paraskevi in Yeroskipou for a broader picture of ancient and Byzantine sites.

The harbour area is walkable and local buses link major stops like Coral Bay and Kouklia, but beaches, gorges, and wineries are spread out; if you want to save time between sights, ask your guide about chauffeured tours or tours with private transportation.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all itinerary, you can tailor your private tour to match your interests, pace and personality with a local who knows Paphos inside and out.

Day trip ideas from Paphos

Base yourself in Paphos, then stretch your day trips to wild peninsulas, stone-built villages, and big-name ruins that sit an easy drive away on your tour.

- Akamas Peninsula and Blue Lagoon - Swim clear coves, see sea caves, and roll to Lara Beach on rough tracks or by boat, while your guide handles routes and timings so you focus on water time and a laid-back taverna lunch in Polis.

- Troodos Mountains and Omodos - Cooler air, winery stops, and painted churches make a full but simple circuit, and your tour can balance short walks with monastery visits and a village coffee in a shaded square.

- Kourion and Limassol - Stand in a cliff-top theatre, check mosaics at the House of Eustolios, then shift to Limassol’s old port and street art; your guide keeps the history clear and leaves space for a seaside stroll.

- Nicosia Old City - Step inside the walls to see museums, market lanes, and viewpoints over the Green Line, and use your tour to unpack recent history, local crafts, and a proper halloumi lunch without rushing.

- Kouklia and Aphrodite’s Rock - Link the Sanctuary of Aphrodite with Petra tou Romiou for a tidy mix of myth and coast, and let your guide set a route that fits photo stops and a swim if the sea is calm.

A private tour with a local guide is the best way to really get to know a place. Skip the crowds, follow your interests, and see a side of Paphos most travellers miss.
