Once a bustling tourist destination, Varosha's abrupt abandonment in 1974 amid conflict left it deserted for 47 years, until its recent reopening. Varosha remains a poignant emblem of Europe's forgotten cities. Our exploration continues to the old quarter of Famagusta, a historic district distinguished by well-preserved medieval walls, Gothic architecture, and a vibrant, bustling atmosphere. Along the journey, we visit a renowned pastry shop celebrated for its exquisite Baklava and tea.
