Hi! This is Diego. I’m a tour guide by passion and a nature nerd by choice. I love telling real stories — not the kind you find on Wikipedia — about Costa Rica’s rich history, glowing frogs, snakes with attitude, and birds that look like they flew in from a fantasy film. If it walks, slithers, or flies, I’ve probably photographed it. I mix my love for wildlife, herpetofauna, and photography to turn every tour into a fun class, a nature documentary, and a wild adventure all in one. Want to see a glass frog or learn why snakes aren’t the villains? Come along — I’ll show you, and we’ll have a blast doing it.

Overview of your Guanacaste tour

Discover the magic of Tenorio Volcano National Park, a lush paradise teeming with wildlife — from playful monkeys and colorful toucans to graceful sloths and an astounding variety of birds, amphibians, and reptiles. Keep your eyes open, and you might even spot the elusive tapir, the largest land mammal in Costa Rica. Our scenic hike will take you along forest trails to the breathtaking Río Celeste Waterfall, where the striking turquoise waters, naturally tinted by aluminosilicates, seem almost unreal. Throughout the journey, I’ll capture candid and unique photographs, so you can treasure the sights, sounds, and vibrant beauty of this unforgettable adventure for years to come.

Your Guanacaste tour itinerary

Pick-up from your hotel or accommodation at the agreed time. Drive to the lush rainforest. The first stop is for a delicious hot chocolate. Arrive at Río Celeste National Park for a scenic 1h45–2.5-hour hike. Next, we will enjoy a traditional Costa Rican lunch at a local restaurant. Visit Jungle Life to spot sloths and savour a fresh cup of coffee. On the way back to your hotel, we can make optional stops for souvenirs or fresh tropical fruits to complete your perfect day in nature.
