Hello, dear (amigos) friends, I am here to help you, to discover my country, so you can see it through local eyes. You can enjoy more, since you will be less worried, about the unknown that most people suffer while traveling, and more excited about the upcoming events along the day's tour! I have been experiencing Costa Rica as a professional local facilitator for more than ten years, so with me as your local guide there will be no worries about: car condition, driving, spotting wildlife, bird watching, finding local tours, knowing where to find grocery stores or drug stores, finding the nicest roads to travel, doing research on local history, interpreting the geography and weather conditions, facing dangerous situations, having a first aid kit and medical assistance if needed, getting on time to all the attractions and activities. You get two guides for the price of one with Henry! His brother, Dennis drives and offer another pair of eyes when searching for wildlife! Henry is very knowledgeable and able to adjust the tour to suit everyone’s needs. We had a blast, perhaps our best day in Costa Rica was spent with Henry! We learned and saw so much with him!
We scheduled 2 tours with Henry and we are so glad we found him on Tours by Locals. He will make sure you will have day full of adventure. We saw wildlife and hiked through the forest to a waterfall with a pool that some of us went in. It was cold! But then we went further to lounge in some warm hot springs! We also saw some petroglyphs and had a good lunch at a local family owned restaurant. I can't imagine a better guide to have and we are so glad we found him!
We had a great time with Henry! We learned about the wildlife, plants, and history of Costa Rica. He was very informative and worked hard to make sure we had saw things we were hoping to see. He is definitely very knowledgeable of the region. We saw a couple different types of Toucans, a sloth with a baby, frogs, walked over hanging bridges overlooking amazing scenery, and saw the bluest waterfall and river I have ever seen! Book with Henry and you won't be disappointed!!
A good day out, with a guide who is very knowledgeable about Costa Rica, its geography, wildlife and history, and who speaks excellent English.
Henry was outstanding. He crafted a tour to fit our exact interests, filled our day with interesting facts exactly suited to our curiosities, and was able to facilitate the naturalist experience we were hoping for. We would definitely book with him again and highly recommend him!
It was an amazing day trip with Henry! I was looking for a day of hiking in the beautiful countryside of Costa Rica and not to see any tour buses in the parking lots where we were going. Henry's tour definitely lived up to that. One of the many hi-lites was our lunch stop, in a small village eating delicious food at a small local restaurant. While waiting for our food sitting on the patio, along comes a local on his donkey. Henry's love for the beauty of his country comes thru in his tour!!!! Audrey
