About Me – Amy Xiao Hello and welcome! I am Amy, a nationally licensed English-speaking guide with a passion for sharing the real China with travelers from around the world. I graduated with a degree in English and hold the Professional English Test Band 8 (TEM-8). I began my career in tourism in 2011, and for the past 1 years I have been designing and guiding private, customized tours for international guests from Southeast Asia, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and beyond. My expertise covers Chengdu and its surrounding regions, as well as Chongqing, Yunnan, Beijing, Xi’an, Zhangjiajie, and more. I specialize in creating meaningful journeys that go beyond the typical tourist trail—whether it is a family-friendly panda adventure, a multi-generational slow-paced city walk, or an in-depth cultural immersion featuring tea ceremonies, traditional Chinese medicine, and local handicrafts. I also arrange business delegations, academic study tours, and technology or AI-themed educational programs. What sets me apart is my commitment to authentic experiences. I avoid shopping stops and rushed schedules. Instead, I design flexible itineraries that match your pace and interests, with plenty of time to taste local food, meet local people, and discover hidden corners that most visitors never see. I am especially experienced in caring for elderly guests and young children, ensuring safety, comfort, and joy for every member of your family. Behind the scenes, I handle all the logistics— high-speed train tickets, hotel bookings, and entrance reservations—so you can relax and enjoy your journey. My goal is simple: to help you fall in love with China, one unforgettable day at a time. I look forward to meeting you and creating a truly personal travel experience together.

2:30 PM – Arrival and Tea Ceremony Guests arrive at the venue on their own (taxi or ride-hailing). You will be greeted by your English-speaking coordinator. The tea master will then guide you through a traditional Song Dynasty tea ceremony. You will learn how to whisk powdered tea, appreciate its aroma, and understand the philosophy behind this ancient practice. Tea tasting and light refreshments are included. 4:00 PM – Baduanjin Qigong Session After the tea ceremony, a Qigong master will lead an introductory class in Baduanjin (Eight Section Brocade). This gentle, flowing sequence is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. You will learn the basic postures, breathing techniques, and the internal principles behind the movements. The instructor will also share insights on breath healing and daily practice. 5:30 PM – Conclusion The session ends. You are welcome to stay for a few minutes to ask questions or take photos with the instructors.
