Lama Temple, also called Yonghe Palace, is the largest and best preserved lamasery in Beijing. It once was the residence of Emperor Yongzheng . Lama Temple is comprised of pailou, Grand Hall, Yongyou Hall, Falun Hall and Hall of Boundless Happiness. There are three wonders inside. One, Red sandalwood 500 Arhats carving . Two, 26 meters high white sandalwood Maitreya Buddha. Three, Nan mu wood carving with 99 dragons around . There are rich collections of cultural relics which are preserved in Lama Temple . Include Tangka paintings , Large mumber of vividly images . Qianmen street is 800 yeas history with lots of foods and China's time -honored brand shops and restaurant. The Temple of Heaven is located in southern Beijing. It was the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties would worship the god of heaven and pray for good harvest.
