Fun fact about Cuandixia village! It was founded by a Ming dynasty eunuch and after he got retired, he chose there to spend the rest of his life. The village still maintains it's original architectures and due to this, there are many directors had taken the movies in the village. The local people built the inns in their courtyard. Here, travelers get to enjoy the countryside life and stay in local people's home at night, buying the local fruit, nuts bring back to their home. If you have more days to stay in Beijing, I would suggest you to enjoy the countryside in Cuandixia village, most of the tourists have seen the modern buildings in Central Business District (CBD) in Beijing, similar to New York city and any other city. I'd describe the CBD just like a modern girl. The Cuandiaxia village is different. I would consider it just like a country girl, someone who is Simple and pure! let's discover this ancient village with me, you'll have the best time ever!
