Hi there! I've been working as a guide in the Atacama desert since 2009, I used to work as a driverguide for different tour agencies and some hotels in San Pedro de Atacama, so thanks to that, I know every corner of this region and every place to visit, like Geysers, Andean lagoons, Wetlands, Salt flats, landscapes that look like other planets, hypersaline lagoons where you can float effortlessly, and many others. From late 2018, I'm working independently, with my own vehicle; a Toyota 4runner 4WD, up to 4 passengers plus the driver. Embark on an unforgettable adventure, starting at morning, having breakfast in a french bakery in town. Visiting Toconao Oasis with its gardens, cross the Tropic of Capricorn for an iconic photo stop, explore Aguas Calientes Salt Flats and Tuyajto Lagoon over the Andean Altiplano. Enjoy lunch surrounded by the astonishing rock formation and scenic views of the Yellow Plateau. -Picking up from your hotel. -Firstly we'll have breakfast in a French bakery. - Going south, through the east side of the Atacama Salt Flat, by the Andes, we'll visit the Oasis of Toconao town, full of trees and the people's gardens by the river, then a quick stop on the tropic of Capricorn. - We'll pass through Socaire (3220 AMSL), the last Chilean village before to the Argentinian border (120 kms away from there), we'll drive about 1 more hour to the salt flat of Aguas Calientes III (Piedras Rojas) where we'll have a 1 hour hiking round trip, to reach the edge of the salt flat and the lagoon. - Going a bit further we'll see the Tuyajto lagoon, then the Golden Plateau and rock formations called "the castles" (exclusive place) where we'll have lunch. -Andean High Plateau Lagoons (Lagunas Altiplánicas), belong to "Los flamencos" National Reserve, each one on the foot of two volcanoes, Miscanti and Meñiques. -Going to Chaxa lagoon to watch flamingos in their natural environment. - Coming back to town.
