In the past, I made a living as an engineer, but I have always been an avid explorer, traveler, mountaineer, and cycle enthusiast at heart. This is why today I dedicate my life to this endless search for unexplored territory and new routes so that I can share these experiences not only with loved ones or in solitude, but with other like-minded travelers who share this same passion as well. Although I was born in the south of the country, I moved to San Pedro de Atacama, with my family, around 8 years ago, and I did realize this is a perfect place to begin any adventure trip, because is at middle altitude at the foothills, then you can aclimatize in a quiet town with all the basic services for you and be ready for a trip to the Altiplano (highlands), the most beautiful wild landscape in my opinion. After cycling, mountaneering and hiking for the whole country and some parts of southamerica, I think I can really suggest what are the most interesting places in Chile and around. Anyway, because I love exploration, I will be always creating new expeditions here in the platform, then take a look once in a while for these more "unusual ones". Sportive Mountaineering since 1995. High Mountain and Trekking Guide since 2005, including Mount Aconcagua and Ojos del Salado Volcano. More than 15 expeditions to 6000-meter mountains in Chile, Argentina, Perú, Bolivia and Himalaya. More than a hundred climbings in the mountain and high mountain and around 10.000 km of Cyclotourism in Southamerica. Overview of your San Pedro De Atacama tour
On this trip we begin in San Pedro de Atacama and stay during 4 days sightseeing around in order to acclimatize to the altitude of the next days. After this acclimatization time, during the expedition we will cover a large part of the Chilean and Bolivian Altiplano (We visit the Uyuni Salt Flat as well!), we will get to know part of the Lickanantai, Tiwanaku and Inca cultures, pre-Hispanic towns and villages immersed in a landscape abundant in volcanoes, salt flats, hot springs, geysers and native flora and fauna. If you are looking for wildlife, natural landscapes, lonely places without many tourists, natural hot springs and spots without people, this trip is just for you!
