Hi there! I've been working as a guide in the Atacama desert since 2009, I used to work as a driverguide for different tour agencies and some hotels in San Pedro de Atacama, so thanks to that, I know every corner of this region and every place to visit, like Geysers, Andean lagoons, Wetlands, Salt flats, landscapes that look like other planets, hypersaline lagoons where you can float effortlessly, and many others. From late 2018, I'm working independently, with my own vehicle; a Toyota 4runner 4WD, up to 4 passengers plus the driver. Now a days, I'm providing privates tours away from the crowds in different timings, fully customized, depending on the special interests the travelers may have, like Bird-watching, Photography, Wildlife, Culture, Geology, Stargazing among others. A guide is not someone that show places and give information, a guide is someone who make the link, between the place, the culture, the nature, and all what the travelers are interested on, to give the most personalized experience and filling their soul, in a real connection. I really love my job and I think I'm living the dream today, because I always thought that one day my personality, charisma, enthusiasm and love for nature, will be my tools for what I do for a living, so here I am, doing what I love, sharing with people coming from all over the world and showing one of the most beautiful and unique places on earth, The Atacama Desert. - SERNATUR (National Service of Tourism) Q Stamp of tourism quality This stamp means reliability, transparency, security, customers satisfaction and service improvements. -LGAI CHILE S.A. There are many lagoons in the Atacama salt flat with very dense water because of the high saltiness, so you can float effortlessly, as you do in the dead sea. After swimming, it's necessary to rinse out all the salt that dries up on the body, there are facilities like showers, toilets and changing room. We keep moving south to the eyes of the salt flat, two rounded holes in the middle of nowhere, you'll get beautiful pictures over there. Later we'll go to the Tebenquinche Lagoon, where depending on the season, it looks more like a salt flat or a lagoon, because it's very shallow, and it dries up quickly during the summer by evaporation. In summer the surface is just white but in winter with no wind the Andes mountain range is reflected perfectly on the water. (NOT TUESDAY)
- From town, 20 kms to Cejar Lagoon to float effortless. - After that, we'll drive 10 more km to the Eyes of the Salt Flat. - Then we'll see the Tebenquinche Lagoon, where you'll take a light hiking by the edge of it, to enjoy the view of the Andes Mountain Range in the background. The itinerary can be customized according to your preferences and interests. (NOT TUESDAY)
