Half Day Trip to Vallecito from San Pedro de Atacama, Chile

Vallecito is an area located in the Salt mountain range, approximately 45 minutes by car from San Pedro de Atacama. In this place we will see an arid environment, where geological and volcanic processes, together with the erosion of water and wind, have shaped unique and beautiful landscapes. If you have great passion and admiration for geology and nature, this is a perfect place to live a unique experience where you can not only enjoy witnessing but also learn about the landscapes and formations that this ecosystem provides. The entire environment we have in the Salar de Atacama basin area is the result of long volcanic processes, this is one of the reasons why I love this place and I am pleased to share it with those who visit us. ·We'll meet in San Pedro de Atacama, to leave by car to the Vallecito area, located in the formation of the salt mountain range. ·We'll have a trip of approximately 50 minutes, mainly offroad, leaving San Pedro, stopping roughly 10 minutes in at Mirados Likan Antai for a couple of minutes to take in the beautiful view of the mountain range and its formations. ·Getting back in car we'll keep going until we reach the formation of the Salt Mountain Range, where we'll stop again for photos. ·We'll continue driving deeper into the mountain range, to reach another viewpoint with a view of volcanoes. ·After some more driving we'll go off again to walk calmly and see the formations and the materials that comprise them, such as salt crystals. This stop could take between 45 mins to 1 hour. ·Next, we'll keep driving to our last viewpoint, a panoramic one at height. ·From here, we'll begin the return to San Pedro de Atacama. This itinerary could be customized.
