We immersed ourselves in the local charm and culture, and I have since found my well matched career in the tourism industry. I transitioned from Security Account Management, handling the high-volume, fast-paced, dynamic needs of commercial clientele, to tourism, where I channel my enthusiasm and background into showcasing the beauty and attractions of Victoria and the Island for all to experience. Ken was terrific! Very personable, accommodating and knowledgeable. He has an obvious and sincere passion for the Victoria area and is all too willing to show Victoria off. He was willing to customize his tour to our particular interests. Ken is a genuine, normal guy with the ability to connect immediately with his clients. Lots of fun spending time with him. If I could rate him an 11, I would!!
Very informative tour with my elderly parents who preferred to stay in the vehicle. We were able to see and learn quite a bit of lore and history while spending our walking time at the sites my parents were most interested in. Ken was patient and accommodating.
·We'll of course begin from mile "0, " the symbolic starting point of the Trans-Canada Highway. ·We'll then take in the indigenous artistry at the world's tallest free-standing totem pole, a majestic display that narrates the cultural heritage of the region. ·Next we'll head to Craigdarroch Castle, a Victorian-era mansion, where we'll traverse the lavishly decorated rooms, experiencing the grandeur that echoes in the halls of this historical gem. ·Later, we'll visit the vibrant Chinatown, the oldest in Canada, strolling its historic streets, unique boutiques and cultural landmarks. ·In Chinatown, we'll walk along Fan Tan Alley, a narrow passage filled with character & charm. ·Afterwards, we'll experience the timeless elegance of the Empress Hotel, an iconic landmark overlooking the Inner Harbour. ·What follows will be British Columbia's majestic Legislature. ·At last, we'll reach Fisherman's Wharf, a picturesque marina where vibrant houseboats & floating restaurants create a lively maritime ambiance.
