I have 20 years of experience on Vancouver Island, and thanks to traveling it's far reaches for my career and family, I fell in love with Victoria. This was our home long before my young family and I moved here in 2010 from Alberta. We immersed ourselves in the local charm and culture, and I have since found my well matched career in the tourism industry. I transitioned from Security Account Management, handling the high-volume, fast-paced, dynamic needs of commercial clientele, to tourism, where I channel my enthusiasm and background into showcasing the beauty and attractions of Victoria and the Island for all to experience. Chris was our guide since Ken called in sick. He was very knowledgeable very pleasant and we enjoyed our trip very very much. Enjoyed seeing all the housing all the historical all the old buildings busy streets and the castle. It was nice. It was a really really informative. Chris was great I highly recommend Tours By Locals to anyone looking for a good tour.

What a great time we had touring Victoria with Ken! There is such a great benefit to learning about a new city directly from someone who lives there. And all while touring privately and not crowded into a bus or hop on- hop off trolley. Ken really knows the city and is filled with wonderful stories about the history of Victoria and the men and women who built it. He’s bright, personable, and able to stop his beautiful electric vehicle when you spot that perfect photo opportunity just outside your window. You can’t do that sitting in that crowded tour bus. Ken provides for the ultimate touring experience, including bottles of water in his spotless four seater with a glass roof for seeing the higher sights of Victoria (all those beautiful flower pots hanging all over the city.) Thank you, Ken, for giving us a memorable experience exploring Victoria.

We had a stop in Victoria while on our cruise and booked Ken through Tours by Locals. Ken did a fantastic job showing us Victoria in the short amount of time we had. His car was clean and we loved the canadian candy. Through Ken we got to know the city so well, we fell in love with it. Now we are planning a return trip. Our group agreed that this was one of the top excursions on our week long trip. You won't regret booking with Ken when you visit in Victoria.
