It is my home and I enthusiastically share its treasures with all of my guests. I have strong enthusiasm for supporting Local Artists and Small Locally owned shops. When I travel, I Love to bring home treasures that are unique to my experiences there. So, I have developed some special Tours with a mix of Traditional Sightseeing with Local shopping. As Victoria's MBassador (yes, MBassador) for one of Canada's top luxury destination clubs I have provided Concierge services and assisted in trip planning for its members for the last 13 years. So, it was a natural fit for me to expand into Tourism and help YOU plan your Travel time. I've lived in several cities across Canada and North America and have been incredibly fortunate to have traveled to over 20 countries. Isn't Travelling great? When I travel, the best information comes from the people who live there and so hiring a Private guide is always something I do at least once each trip. In my free time, I like to EAT - a lot!! But I do spend a lot of time on my e-Bike, so I justify that. I am active in the community, am a member of several organizations like Tourism Victoria and the Chamber, and Love to network - is that nerdy? Other things I like…. TV, Movies, Live theatre, My daughter's adorable puppy, my amazing girlfriends, and oh yes, my partner too, puzzles - another nerdy thing. But I think mostly, aside from my peeps, I LOVE to shop, and I am a strong advocator for SHOP LOCAL. Oh yes, and I volunteer a fair bit, especially kid's charities. OK - enough about me maybe? YES! What a wonderful time we had with Michele touring us around Vancouver Island. She showed us all the obvious and hidden gems of the Victoria, highlighted with visits to see the majestic totem poles at Thunderbird Park, the regal BC Parliament, the eccentric Fan Tan Alley in China Town, the quirky float homes Fisherman's Wharf, and the stately Craigdarroch Castle. Each visit enhanced with historical stories and mesmerizing lore that only a true local could appreciate and convey. Michele's friendly demeanor and attention to comfort details made us feel right at home. It was the perfect balance of story-telling, quiet time just enjoying the scenic views, and private time to explore on our own. We are so fortunate to have found Michele. She did a wonderful job showcasing and hosting such a beautiful and vibrant city. Thank you Vancouver Island and thank you Michele!
Michele provided our group of four an outstanding experience touring the sites of Victoria. From your pickup location, we will walk around Victoria's Inner Harbour, learn the history of the city, the BC Legislature, and Indigenous culture & see the famous Empress Hotel. Winding our way through the city to see historic shops/pubs & former Fort Victoria and ending in the oldest China Town in Canada. We will then drive through the prestigious neighborhood of Rockland abundant with historic and modern mansions. to visit the exterior of the Craigdarroch Castle, a baronial castle built in 1908 by Victoria's legendary Coal Baron Robert Dunsmuir, and then an easy drive through the grounds of our Lt. Governers' home (representative of the crown). Topping of your tour: An ocean drive with a brief stop at the quirky neighborhood of Fisherman's Wharf. Private tours offer flexibility, the itinerary can be easily adjusted even on the day of your tour if wish to extend the time and if time is available. You may want to stop for a quick lunch, view the interior of the castle, or add a stop at Ahbkazi Gardens.
