Expert Naturalist and Native Amazonian Guide Welcome to the Amazon! I invite you to experience the rainforest through the authentic perspective of a native. Born in the heart of the Amazon rainforest and raised in Manaus, I am a 'Caboclo'—a proud descendant of the indigenous peoples of the Andirá-Marau Reserve. My deep understanding of this ecosystem is rooted in my ancestry and a lifelong passion for the local flora and fauna. With over 30 years of professional expertise in the tourism industry, I have dedicated my career to high-level educational tourism. As a long-standing Group Leader for Road Scholar, I specialize in providing travelers with relevant, in-depth information. My expertise includes specialized birdwatching tours, where I help enthusiasts identify and appreciate the remarkable avian diversity of our region. I organize private excursions ranging from 1-day trips to immersive 8-day expeditions along the Amazon and Negro Rivers. My field programming includes: • The iconic Meeting of the Waters. • Educational visits to riverside (Ribeirinho) and Indigenous communities. • Swimming with pink river dolphins and jungle trekking. • Specialized birdwatching and relaxing at river beaches. • Historical visits to the Rubber Museum (Museu do Seringal). In the city of Manaus, I offer specialized tours to the Amazon Theatre, the historic Municipal Market, and the Botanical Garden. We can also explore the National Institute of Amazonian Research (INPA), traditional fruit and fish markets, and the city's multicultural heritage, including the Mosque, Synagogues, and the Jewish Cemetery. Safety is my priority; I am certified in First Aid by the Red Cross, PHTLS, and jungle search and rescue.
