The day spent with Milton was fantastic! Getting to hike in the jungle with him and a park guide pointing out interesting flora and fauna, was an exceptional experience. There was time for walking, standing under waterfalls and swimming...a perfect combination for a day's adventures. In the long car ride to and from the tour, we talked about history, politics, religion, philosophy, the arts, families etc...all in perfect English (and French!). Take this tour...you will enjoy it!
Our adventure starts at 8am from your hotel to take the road. We'll drive north for about one hour and a half to get to the municipality of Presidente Figueiredo. Once we reach the Maruaga reserve we'll start a 2 and a half hours trekking to have an understanding of the amazon jungle. During this hiking we'll visit the Maruaga cave, the Judea grotto and have a good understanding of the fauna and flora of our region. We'll go to a nice restaurant by the Rapids of Urubuí where we have lunch with delicious fish and other delicacies from our region. In the afternoon we'll enjoy a refreshing time at the Sanctuary waterfall until the moment we start heading back to Manaus. We'll arrive back to your hotel around 5pm
