After taking my Art History and History Ba Hons degree at Oxford Brookes University I moved to France and remained there for over 20 years renovating a medieval castle and welcoming visitors to the region. In 2009 I co-founded a guided tour company and while my husband gave highly acclaimed tours, I plotted routes and stops which ensured a seamless experience of great sites, accommodation, food and of course exceptional quality of guiding. When I returned to Oxford I was thrilled to be able to continue my work in the tourism sector and found in Oxford an equally fascinating glimpse into history with the added joy of such interesting and beautiful sites, artefacts and stories in such close proximity. The University, colleges and the city make sure that many treasures from its past and present are shared with the public and accessible in some of the most splendid rooms and streets of Britain. My tours are often described as 'surprising and insightful'. My special interests include stained glass, the English Civil War, science and medicine, the age of CS Lewis and JRR Tolkein, architecture, literature and the Reformation. Christ Church, New College, Balliol College and the Bodleian Library are a few of the colleges I particularly enjoy showing visitors but please ask if you do not see your special interest listed. As a member of the Oxford Guild of Guides I can arrange access into colleges not normally open to the public. I live in Oxford and love to adapt my tours to your availability and interests. My hobbies include theatre, live music, and writing. I recently published by debut book which is about rural France. Associate of the Institute of Tourist guiding and a member of the Guild of Guides.
