Hello and welcome to Kyoto! I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter. You can call me MIYA. I got my certification in 2021 and have been working as a professional guide since January 2023, primarily in Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, and Koyasan. I find Japanese culture to be truly distinctive. And I love Kyoto, which still embodies so much of that unique culture and present to travelers. There are so many precious moments working as a guide. When guests see something and say “Wow!” when they enjoy Kyoto and discover commonalities with their own culture.etc.. My personal interests include eating, drinking, art, movies, and travel. Kazuko (goes by Miya) took us to Nara for the day from Kyoto. She navigated the train station like a champ. The deer are everywhere and although it’s difficult to find the deer food vendors Miya knew where to go. Having deer food is a must! The deer bow multiple times to receive the deer crackers. So fun! We had Miya for 2 days, she’s very nice, I would recommend her 😊

Our first day was a full day tour of Kyoto (I didn’t choose properly on the website but Kazuko (goes by Miya) adjusted well and showed us the sights of Kyoto. It was a fun day, she is very knowledgeable and planned our day as we requested. We really enjoyed it.
