I am an L. A. resident and comedian for over twenty years with an unreasonable amount of movie knowledge to answer your questions, test your trivia, and keep the party lively. I'm the founder/exec. producer/writer & host of TheMovieGuys. net (est. 2009), which has been home to all manner of movie-related content - reviews, articles, podcasts, live shows, comedy events, red carpets, movie premieres, Comic-Con hosting and more with over a million views on various platforms, including Apple Podcasts and YouTube. My film reviews and articles have been syndicated all over the web on websites and newsletters, reaching hundreds of thousands of readers. Plus, I've appeared on radio stations and podcasts in D. C. , Chicago, London, Dallas, L. A. and everywhere in between talking movies and am writing my first book based on interviews with over 200 actors, filmmakers and comics from my podcasts - The Movie Showcast, The TMG Interview, Movie Nonsense and The Ford Fiesta. Half the reason your tour will be so unique is that you get to pick what you see and you get to stop and take photos. The other half is me. Los Angeles TCP #: PSG0040705

The San Fernando Valley, just over the hill from Hollywood, has been a major locations hub for filmmakers for years. You might think Hollywood has it all, but it's the west valley where Spielberg, Tarantino, Paul Thomas Anderson and more have come for that vintage "L. A. " look. I'll take you to the locations where your favorite movies (and some TV shows!) were filmed, with a unique experience catered entirely to what you want to see. This is a private tour, so just you and your party, going where you want to go, and good news, after twenty plus years of living here, I never tire of Hollywood history. This stuff gets me as excited as you! Except Kardashians. No Kardashians on this tour. Other reasons this tour is unique: - We get out of the car and take pics! You can be involved in the photo and interact as much as possible with the location, right down to having lunch or dinner! - One-on-one attention. I don't have a bus, so you won't get lost in the crowd while I spill a script on you.
I've listed 28 locations we could visit and you pick your top ten spots - those will be guaranteed! No reason for me to pick places from movies you don't like or have never seen, YOU pick the locations and it'll be a greatest hits of just the films you love. The west valley includes cities ranging from Sherman Oaks to Woodland Hills and your list of locations to choose from includes: The BAD NEWS BEARS baseball field The intersection where E. T. and Elliot flew from the law on their bike Daniel LaRusso's Apartment from THE KARATE KID The Pawn Shop from PULP FICTION Johnny Lawrence's place from COBRA KAI Wayne Campbell's house from WAYNE'S WORLD Plus, restaurants from the film DRIVE, spots from POLTERGEIST, SUPERBAD and more! Pick some winners and we're off! Your tour ends at the same place it started or any location in the west valley by your request. It's often good to pick a restaurant or bar so you can dine or have a drink there before or after your tour to continue your immersion in L. A. film history.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
The Prius is the car where you can pull up to anywhere (movie premieres, Denny's and everything in between) and you are absolutely welcome there. The inside is spacious and sharp with air conditioning and a great sound system.
Los Angeles, California, United States
Your tour starts at a film location somewhere in your chosen section (this location will be decided upon booking). I'll meet you there at the time you booked and start showing you around town! Your tour ends at the same place it started (or, it's often good to pick a restaurant or bar so you can dine or have a drink there before or after your tour to continue your immersion in L.A. film history).
