The Hollywood Film Locations Tour

If you're considering booking with Paul, stop looking and book him. This was one of the best private tours we have ever taken, and it became one of the highlights of our entire cross country Amtrak journey. From the very beginning, Paul's communication was outstanding. He responded quickly, answered every question, and his pricing was exactly as advertised with no surprises. He met us at Los Angeles Union Station after our Amtrak arrival, greeted us with a smile, helped us with our luggage, walked us directly to his vehicle, and safely kept our bags with us throughout the tour so we never had to worry about them. What made this tour exceptional was how personalized it became. Paul asked about our interests, favorite movies, and what we hoped to experience. Rather than following a scripted route, he created a customized adventure that felt like spending the day with a knowledgeable friend who truly loves Los Angeles. We started in downtown Los Angeles before making our way to Griffith Observatory and incredible Hollywood Sign views. From there we explored Hollywood, where we were fortunate enough to catch the end of a Walk of Fame star ceremony and even saw the actress along with others celebrating the event. We continued through Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, and many iconic locations throughout the city. The absolute highlight was Paul's incredible knowledge of movie history. As we mentioned favorite films, he continually adjusted the tour to include filming locations from Beverly Hills Cop, Fast & Furious, La La Land, and countless other movies. Every stop came with fascinating stories, behind the scenes trivia, production history, and local insights that you simply would never discover on your own. It was obvious that Paul genuinely loves Los Angeles, its people, its food, its history, and especially the film industry. His enthusiasm is contagious. By the end of the day, we genuinely felt like we had experienced the city instead of simply driving through it. During our Amtrak trip back to the Midwest, we told no fewer than ten fellow passengers about Paul, his tour, and how to find him through ToursByLocals because the experience impressed us that much. Thank you, Paul, for making our one day in Los Angeles unforgettable. Your kindness, professionalism, flexibility, and incredible knowledge created memories that will stay with us for years. I'm already looking at my schedule to figure out when I can return because I would gladly spend another day exploring Los Angeles with you. I cannot recommend Paul highly enough.

Before considering a tour for the masses on a bus, I highly suggest the Movie Guys. Our experience was the perfect way to spend an afternoon in LA and give our teenage daughter the opportunity to see all of the movie sights she ever wanted to see. Paul was wonderful to work with, he even changed his schedule to work with us. He picked us up at our hotel and customized all of our stops based on what we wanted to see. He even cued up music that matched the movies each time we stopped! Super fun touch. He had great insight and stories from his time in the city and we just loved our time with him. I would absolutely tour with the Movie Guys again on my next trip to LA.

Paul was a great guide and very knowledgeable. We got to see all the places we requested, even getting out and exploring Griffith Observatory and the Walk of Fame. As far as Movie and show spots, he showed us the scene on his laptop alap and then was nice enough to email all the photos after the tour. I would highly recommend Paul for an entertaining, informative day!

Amazing custom tour with viewing the favorite movie locations accompanied by music from the movies as well as staging some of the scenes! Paul is a great actor too! We felt fully immersed in Hollywood!

We had a great time with Paul! He communicated clearly before the tour and put effort into designing a great itinerary tailored to our interests, which he had asked about. It was easy meeting him and we had a great time together. He clearly knows a ton about Los Angeles and even more about movies. He also clearly has a great time showing people around and is fun to hang out with. I'd highly recommend touring with him - even if you're not a movie buff (we aren't).

Paul was great. He picked us up at the cruise terminal and showed us many of the Southern California sites, and dropped us off at the airport. He adjusted the tour to our limitations as seniors (minimal walking) and extended the time to align with our late flight home. He was sure to stop at the sites we wanted to see and added a bunch of other interesting things we really enjoyed. Paul was funny, interesting, and laid back. He had wonderful stories about everything related to movies and the entertainment industry. If we have time in the LA area again, we would book another tour with Paul. It was a great day.
