I am an L. A. resident and comedian for over twenty years with an unreasonable amount of movie knowledge to answer your questions, test your trivia, and keep the party lively. I'm the founder/exec. producer/writer & host of TheMovieGuys. net (est. 2009), which has been home to all manner of movie-related content - reviews, articles, podcasts, live shows, comedy events, red carpets, movie premieres, Comic-Con hosting and more with over a million views on various platforms, including Apple Podcasts and YouTube. My film reviews and articles have been syndicated all over the web on websites and newsletters, reaching hundreds of thousands of readers. Plus, I've appeared on radio stations and podcasts in D. C. , Chicago, London, Dallas, L. A. and everywhere in between talking movies and am writing my first book based on interviews with over 200 actors, filmmakers and comics from my podcasts - The Movie Showcast, The TMG Interview, Movie Nonsense and The Ford Fiesta. Half the reason your tour will be so unique is that you get to pick what you see and you get to stop and take photos. The other half is me. Los Angeles TCP #: PSG0040705

The east side of the San Fernando Valley houses the biggest movie studio names in the world - Disney, Universal and Warner Brothers. But they can't shoot everything in a studio, so they take to the streets to film and now you see the iconic spots where some of the biggest movies of all time were filmed! This tour is a unique experience catered entirely to what you want to see (no reason to visit locations from movies you haven't seen!), plus you get me with 22 years experience living & working in L. A. with a story about pretty much every corner we could drive by. My promise to you: No Kardashians. Other reasons this tour is unique: - We get out of the car and take pics! - One-on-one attention. I don't have a bus, so you won't get lost in the crowd while I spill a script on you. I'll pick you up to start the tour where it's most convenient. We can decide this place upon booking (it could be your hotel if it's friendly to your customized route!), I'll pick you up there and start showing you around town.
I've listed 34 locations we could visit and you pick your top ten spots - those will be guaranteed! Why visit the site of a movie you might hate? YOU pick the locations and it'll be a greatest hits of just the films you love. The valley cities we'll visit range from Glendale/Burbank to Studio City and possible iconic movies whose locations we can visit include: Marty McFly's House from BACK TO THE FUTURE Elliott's house from E. T. The legendary Cobra Kai dojo from THE KARATE KID THE BRADY BUNCH house The Van Beek from LA LA LAND Plus, Ridgemont High, and locations from MAGNOLIA, HEAT, MEMENTO, SAY ANYTHING. . . , CLUELESS, BETTER OFF DEAD and many more are in the mix! Your tour ends at the same place it started or any location in the east valley by your request. It's often good to pick a restaurant or bar so you can dine or have a drink there before or after your tour to continue your immersion in L. A. film history. Let's get weird!
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
The Prius is the car where you can pull up to anywhere (movie premieres, Denny's and everything in between) and you are absolutely welcome there. The inside is spacious and sharp with air conditioning and a great sound system.
