Aloha, I'm Eli! I was born and raised on Hawaiʻi Island, and my family's roots run deep. Growing up, I spent countless hours in the mountains (ma uka), in the ocean (ma kai), and with my ʻohana (family), learning the values, traditions, and way of life that continue to shape who I am today. Over the years, I've had the privilege of welcoming guests from around the world, and one of the greatest joys of guiding is sharing the Hawaiʻi I know and love through a Native Hawaiian perspective. As a Native Hawaiian, it's an honor to share the moʻolelo (stories and history), traditions, and places that have been passed down through generations. Every tour reflects my deep connection to this island and my desire to help others experience Hawaiʻi with respect, understanding, and aloha. Whether we're exploring Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, casting a line along the shoreline, or visiting wahi pana (storied and culturally significant places), my goal is to help you experience Hawaiʻi like a local through authentic experiences, meaningful connections, and the stories that give each place meaning. I believe the best experiences happen through connection - to the land, to the culture, and to one another. Every tour is an opportunity to share local history, cultural traditions, and the aloha that continues to shape our way of life. If there's something specific you'd like to experience while you're on Hawaiʻi Island, I'd be happy to create a customized itinerary tailored to your interests. Whether it's spending more time in nature, exploring local favorites, or venturing off the beaten path, I'll do my best to make it happen. Mahalo for considering me as your guide. I look forward to welcoming you to Hawaiʻi Island and sharing the places, people, and stories that make this island so special!

Every journey tells a story, and Hilo has many to share. Huakaʻi means "journey" in Hawaiian, and this experience invites you to discover Hilo with a Native Hawaiian guide. This adventure explores Hilo through the lens of place, history, and a deep connection to the land. We begin at Rainbow Falls, a legendary wahi pana (storied and culturally significant place) deeply rooted in Hawaiian moʻolelo (stories and history), before traveling north to the breathtaking ʻAkaka Falls. From there, enjoy time in Downtown Hilo for lunch and exploration. We'll visit the King Kamehameha I Statue in Hilo, stroll along Hilo Bay (Hilo One), reflecting on Hilo's enduring relationship with the ocean, then enjoy a peaceful walk through Liliʻuokalani Gardens before ending the day at a favorite local stop, Big Island Candies, for a sweet taste of local hospitality.
