Full Day Tour Exploring and Experiancing the Isle of Skye
Overview of your Portree tour
This is a fantastically memorable day out! We have 2 options, Visiting either Neist Point or you have a wee hike to the Fairy pools, We start by traveling to either Neist Point or The Fairy Pools. both areas have dramatic views and stunning coastline, where we're out of the Mercedes getting to the best places for your photos. From here we will then travel the drovers road towards, Dunvegan Castle and Gardens, Once we depart from here, we then travel towards the Jurassic coastline of Trotternish, visiting the weirdly gorgeous Fairy Glen, up and onto the Quiraing, known for its wonderful rock formations and stunning coastal views. A short drive down the mountain to Kilt Rock then onto one of the most Iconic natural features, the Old Man of Storr. from here its just a lazy drive back to your accommodation.

We had the most awesome day with Ally! Enjoyed every minute of our day - and it was a long one (over 9 hours!) Ally was engaging, easy going, gave us sufficient freedom to do what we wanted without ever pressing us on time. “You are on holiday - take your time to enjoy all the out-of-this-world sights that Skye has to offer” so said the wise Ally. We saw everything we wanted - the Fairy Pools, Fairy Glen, Quiraing, Kilt Rock, Dunvegan Castle & Gardens, Old Man of Storr, whilst still having time on the drive all over Skye to take in the beautiful views of Cuillien Hills and the many breath taking landscapes Skye has to offer. Listing them down now (and am sure have missed some other views Ally so wonderfully shared) - we just realised how much we covered in one day and still feeling in awe at the end. Please make sure you look up Ally if you ever need to visit Skye. You can’t go wrong!

Your Portree tour itinerary
- We start by traveling to Neist Point or The Fairy Pools - Dunvegan Castle and Gardens. It is one the greatest Hebridean castles and the only Highland fortress to have been continuously occupied by the same family for 800 years. This is where we stop for some lunch. - Experience Skye's dramatic landscapes. You will enjoy sights such as the craggy Black Cuillin Mountains. The sharp peaks which rise up from the flatness of the surrounding terrain, are the dominating feature of the island and can be seen from every other peninsula on Skye. - Trotternish Peninsula. It is the most northerly of Skye's peninsulas and it contains some of the most striking landscapes in Scotland. Here we will stop for photographs at The Fairy Glen, The Quiraing (where Hollywood use as a film set for they Blockbuster films). - The Kilt Rock and The Iconic Old Man of Storr. The Storr is a prime example of the Trotternish landslip, the longest such feature in Great Britain. - Return to your accommodation.
