As you can see by the photograph of myself these mountains are my front garden in the beautiful village of Lochcarron Wester Ross in the Scottish Highlands close to the famous Applecross peninsular. I became a tour guide about twelve years ago because of my love of the highlands, its history and its beautiful scenery. I have been organising tours for clients arriving at Invergordon Ullapool and Portree by cruise liner also staying at the many quality hotels such as the Torridon Hotel nestling in the majestic Torridon mountains Bespoke tours have been arranged to places as varied as Loch Ness, Cawdor Castle, Isle of Skye, Applecross, Dunrobin Castle. and Speyside Whisky Tours My informal friendly style has given me 5 star ratings with all my clients as I always try to make sure that they have a memorable day. The vehicle that I use is a Ford Transit minibus with air conditioning and comfortable seating for eight passengers I also use a microphone linked to the sound system if required. I have installed a covid screen in the vehicle and the minibus is sanitised before before every tour for your safety. I am fully licensed by the local Highland Council and also fully insured. I do not accompany you inside castles distillery etc but will give you an insight as to what to look out for and give directions to entry points

We had a fabulous tour of Skye with John. He customized the tour for what we wanted and managed to show us all the important sites. He was easy to talk to and provided us with many interesting stories and facts about the Isle of Skye. We were interested in good photo ops and he delivered. Six hours flew by. I would highly recommend any tour with John.
What a wonderful tour of the island - much better than any tour we could book through the cruise ship. He was prompt at meeting us at the pier and adjusted the schedule to our time in port. We saw so much of the island and got a great history of the area. We ate at a local diner and had a delicious lunch. We stopped at several locations and got some wonderful pictures. The highlight had to be the lighthouse, puffins and the ruins located near there. He had a wonderful sense of humor as well and kept us informed and entertained on the tour. I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the island.
We appreciated John being willing to pick us up at our hotel and drop us off after the tour at the train station. He provided historical information about our various destinations and made the tour an interesting experience He went out of his way to show as much as he could in the time allotted The Isle of Skye is an amazing place and we had a great day. The van was comfortable and spacious as well. John is a friendly guy with a great sense of humour.
John explained the division of Skye beteen two clans, and had laminate maps for us to orient ourselves. He drove us from the bottom to the top of the Isle of Skye, so we could see both Eilean Donan and Dunvegan castles. We had pretty good weather so were able to enjoy the gardens at Dunvegan. Jdohn is a careful driver and his van was very comfortable for the four of us. The scenery of the Isle of Skye is beautiful, so the drives were quite picturesque. I recommend you use John to show you around the island.

This tour shows you all the main attractions on the Isle of Skye when you ship arrives at Portree. We head of straight to Eilean Donan castle. . lunch then on to Talisker then Dunvegan Castle and return to the ship
