Hi! I'm Derek. I became a tour guide as driving and exploring the beautiful scenery and historic sites and quaint little villages that are scattered all over Scotland excites me, and I want to pass on this joy to everyone who comes to visit Scotland. Previously as an H. G. V. Driver carrying dangerous goods (whisky included) meant that I have had to undertake intensive Advanced Driver Training which results in the knowledge that you will be in safe hands as we explore the sights on offer. My aim overall is to provide every traveler with the best experience possible on their visit to my homeland and to have them leaving as friends with memories to last a lifetime. Visiting the likes of Stirling or Doune Castles and ancient villages like Culross, all of which have been used in film and T. V locations ( Braveheart, Outlander, Game of Thrones, Monty Python's Holy Grail ) During the tour, we will marvel at the mystical shape-shifting creatures called "The Kelpies", also make a stop to feed Scotland's famous Highland Coo's before heading of to Loch Lomond, Scotlands largest loch. There will be plenty of opportunities to taste local delicacies, and enjoy the breathtaking landscapes, waterfalls, and lochs along the way. You have the freedom to explore at your own pace and extend stops at any of the breathtaking viewpoints or charming villages that catches your eye. We had a fun day with Derek. He has a comfortable Mercedes van. He had a charger in the van and snacks (including gluten-free) and drinks. He took me to grandma‘s hometown in Scotland. He did two reconnaissance trips in advance to grandma‘s hometown for research. We had a great day exploring.

Derek was great!!! He had an entire day planned for us when we booked and when we got in the van said “do you want to change anything” 😂 which we did and he quickly turned around everything we wanted and more. Derek had a vast knowledge in the history of Stirling Castle, the harry cows, Kelpies, etc. we thoroughly enjoyed our tour and our guide. Then at the end….he gave us a sursey to include postcards or everywhere we went and other items for us to remember the area….we highly recommend Derek is you are that way and have the opportunity to book a tour!!

V. location 30/45 minutes) Wallace's Monument - (drive by ) Stirling Castle - ( 45/60 minutes) Or Doune Castle - (30 minutes) Callander - Roman town for shopping, lunch (45/60 minutes) Kilmahog - Feed the famous "hairy coo's" (15mins) Falls Of Dochart - Set in the town of Killin. Picturesque waterfall/rapids (20 minutes) Luss - quaint town (20 mins) Lomond Shores - (30-45 mins flexible if you want to take a loch cruise ) The Kelpies - (20/30 minutes) Drop off at your hotel or accommodation (Entry into each site is not mandatory.
