Lucerne is a picture perfect town set against the backdrop of the majestic Alps and the glacial waters of Lake Lucerne! And that is just the beginning. These cobbled streets have centuries of stories to tell from the Chapel Bridge's burning to the Carnival celebrations. I invite to join me on a handcrafted tour that explores the history and legends of Lucerne. We’ll visit the market squares with guildhalls and inns over 500 years old. You'll find that sometimes the stories are told by the buildings themselves. Lucerners started painting murals centuries ago and those pictures are still worth 1,000 words today. We’ll be sure to make our way over to the Lion Monument and before we are finished you’ll find out about that castle on the hill.
This tour meets at your hotel or in front of Lucerne's main railway. The itinerary will vary depending upon our starting point and pace. The possibilities include: Lion Monument KKL building Lake Lucerne Chapel Bridge Water Tower Reuss River Jesuit Church Ritter Palace Franciscan Church Wein Market Korn Market Town Hall / Rathaus Hirschenplatz Kapellplatz or Chapel Square /St. Peter’s Bachmann Bakery and Chocolate Shop

Lucerne is best seen by foot, also many of the sights we will be visiting are not open to motorized vehicles. This will be a walking tour.

I am happy to meet you at your hotel if it is centrally located. If not I suggest we meet at the giant arch that sits in front of the Lucerne Train Station.
