As a Mürren resident, I'm able to lead fascinating tours in the heart of the famous Jungfrau region of Switzerland. I am the tour leader for Mürren Tourist Office, helping guests from around the world to explore and enjoy this bucket-list destination. Wow, this tour could not have been better. We experienced waterfalls, the majestic alps going up to Schilthorn, quaint mountain towns (Murren is simple, yet the "Swiss Chalet/Swiss Alps" beauty that you tend to think of for traditional Switzerland), cable cars, a bit of hiking, breathtaking scenery, and gained so much knowledge of the culture of this area too. This was one of our favorite days of our entire trip! Nick made everything so easy and enjoyable, while maximizing our time to the fullest and giving an experience where we felt the staggering size and presence of the mountains. Definitely take one of Nick's tours if you can!

Best travel day touring with Nick! We saw some of the most amazing places on our way to Murren in the Alps. Nick gave us a detailed history of the area and took us to the incredible waterfalls, trains, cable cars, villages while narrating his love for his gorgeous home town. He went over and above to tailor the trip to our wishes and abilities, and we left completely in Love with the Alpine area he calls home! Thank you! We will be returning!

Your Interlaken tour itinerary

Meet in Interlaken and purchase transport tickets. Board the regional train to Lauterbrunnen. The twenty minute journey follows the gorge formed by glaciers and the glacial meltwater of the Weisse Lutschine river with dramatic vertical rock walls. Wengen is not accessible by car and we will take the cog railway from Lauterbrunnen. Following a walking tour we will return to Lauterbrunnen and make our way to the Schilthornbahn station to ascend to Mürren. The village walking tour offers panoramic views of the iconic trio of mountains - Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. The tour traces the history of the village and explores the streets focussing on the architecture and the stories behind its development with an optional refreshment pause at a local inn or cafe. Return to Interlaken Ost station. Approximately two hours. Alternatively I can pick up and drop off by car to the Lauterbrunnen valley.
