Meet in Interlaken and purchase transport tickets. Board the regional train to Lauterbrunnen. The twenty minute journey follows the gorge formed by glaciers and the glacial meltwater of the Weisse Lutschine river with dramatic vertical rock walls. Wengen is not accessible by car and we will take the cog railway from Lauterbrunnen. Following a walking tour we will return to Lauterbrunnen and make our way to the Schilthornbahn station to ascend to Mürren. The village walking tour offers panoramic views of the iconic trio of mountains - Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. The tour traces the history of the village and explores the streets focussing on the architecture and the stories behind its development with an optional refreshment pause at a local inn or cafe. Return to Interlaken Ost station. Approximately two hours. Alternatively I can pick up and drop off by car to the Lauterbrunnen valley.
