Winery Excursion and Roman Ruins to Mula/Bullas

Bullas, Mula is part of the Murcia region in the Levante province of Spain. It benefits from an arid, but gentle inland climate with some assistance from the nearby Mediterranean. . Like its neighboring regions of Yecla and Jumilla, the predominant grape grown is Monastrell (the same as France's Mourvèdre). The Monastrell produced in Jumilla is often considered the best. Some of the other varieties found in the area are Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Garnacha and Cencibal, and they are often blended with Monastrell to create wines with loads of character. Commonly grown white wine grapes are Macabeo, Airen, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pedro Ximenez, Malvasia and some Muscat. We would be visiting some wineries and their vineyards. Wine tasting and some cultural tips will be the important part of our day.
