Hi dear traveller!!! My name is Pedro David and I was born 36 years ago in one of the most beautiful lands of Europe: The South East of Spain. I love my hometown, Mazarrón, as well as the stunning cities around: Cartagena, Murcia, Alicante, Almería and Valencia. I have been always interested in the fabulous history of this wonderful piece of land, full of traditions and open minded people. The Region of Murcia, together with their neighbouring provinces of Almería, Alicante and Valencia are waiting for you to come and discover their jewels, monuments, natural places and hidden corners which are going back more than 3000 years to the very beginning of human existence in the area. People say I am a passionate guide who loves showing my homeland to others. Also as I am a native-guide I can offer all my experience (around 10 years) to make yours definitely unique and worthy. Let me show you the Capital of the Region of Murcia. Discovering the 7th most populated city in Spain is a trip to the past through its beautiful streets and squares. The catholic Cathedral of St Mary is the most important monument of the downtown (old town) together with the so called Royal Casino, the City Hall Building and the Segura River. Your Cartagena tour itinerary
- We leave the port of Cartagena Murcia (1hour approx. ) - Our first stop is the "Glorieta de España", where you will get to know why the nickname of Murcia is the City of Flowers and the City Hall Building is located. - From there we will move to the Cardenal Belluga square to admire the fabulous baroque front of the Cathedral, the Velez noble family burial chapel and the wonderful tower made centuries ago. - We keep on walking to get in front of the Royal Casino, the most visited civil building of Murcia. Built by the Murcian High Society of the XIX Century, it mixes different styles with an impressive decoration. - If wished, some free time can be given for a coffee break or go shopping. - From the Old town we will go to the natural site of the Fuensanta Shrine, where the sanctuary of the patron saint of Murcia is. You will enjoy the best views of the City from that magical place located in the mountain. - After that, we undo the 1 hour way to get back to the port of Cartagena.
