I develop my job as a private licensed tour guide in Valencia, Alicante and Cartagena this marvellous piece of land bathed by the sun, watered by palm trees and full of history. Bachelored in Art of History and after have travelled all around the world, I feel heir of the Mediterranean traditions; our history, gastronomy, art and festivals. Overview of your Cartagena tour
Start this Cartagena 6h Roman tour visiting the Interpretation Center of Punic Walls. It's a "must-see" place because it's the origin of Qart-Hadast, later converted it into Cartago Nova. We will continue with our panoramic drive exploring the strategic harbor , we will have time to enjoy it too from different panoramic points of view. We will have a look to the Roman Amphitheatre (coliseo), a quiet unique site in this historial city of Cartagena (Spain). We will explore also the new and modern areas of Cartagena. Our last stop for this Roman part will be at the Roman Theatre, visiting the Museum specifically designed by Rafael Moneo. Over there you will discover why the Roman Theatre was discovered some years ago. Once we finish the historial part we will have time for tapas, lunch (NOT included) or to explore the city. The guide will suggest the best places where to have a real local experience enjoying the local gastronomy.
Your Cartagena tour itinerary
09h Meet me at Mare Nostrum Restaurant if you arrive by cruise or at your otel reception. 10h Start by visiting the Punic Walls, some walking is needed until we arrive to our first stop (WC, souvenirs shop. . . ) 10:45h Panoramic drive. 12h Roman Theatre visit. We will start with the museum and then the outside area. WC time is posible 13h-16h Time for enjoying local gastronomy tapas or lunch (Not included) with the guide.The Calle Mayor is very close to the main cruise terminal.
