On this tour we will explore the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a well-preserved fortress on a hill on the island of St. Kitts in the Federation of St. Christopher (St. Kitts) and Nevis in the Eastern Caribbean. It was designed by British military engineers, and was built and maintained by enslaved Africans. It is one of the best preserved historical fortifications in the Americas.

We greatly enjoyed our tour with Chris to visit the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park. While on our way from our hotel to the park Chris took us through downtown Basseterre and explained about the history of the island, its culture, and some of the important landmarks. He expertly navigated the narrow and winding road up to the fort and we had plenty of time to explore the fort at our own pace. We were able to get to the fort early enough in the day that it wasn’t crowded at all. We very much enjoyed this tour and Chris was a wealth of information.
Your Basseterre tour itinerary
You'll depart for your guided tour from the Port Zante cruise terminal or your hotel. Departure times are at 09:00am local time. First, you'll be driven along the island's panoramic main road en route to the fortress . Pay close attention to your guide as they will be providing a detailed tour of the island as you are driven to your destination, it is not simply a transfer but a fully guided tour en route to the fortress. The duration of your tour/excursion is 3 hours, 45 minutes to and fro and 1. 5 hours gives you enough time to explore the entire Fortress
