Full Day tour from Puno to Rainbow Mountain ending in Cusco

Welcome to this unforgettable full-day adventure, designed to take you on a breathtaking journey from Puno to Cusco, while experiencing one of Peru’s most famous natural wonders! We’ll start bright and early from Puno, and embark on a scenic drive through the magnificent Andes mountains. Our destination? Vinicunca, also known as Rainbow Mountain. Once we arrive, get ready for an exhilarating guided hike to the summit where you’ll be amazed by the surreal, vibrant stripes of colored minerals that make this mountain so unique. Trust me, it’s a sight you’ll never forget! Not only will you conquer this amazing mountain, but you’ll also be trekking through stunning high-altitude valleys, immersing yourself in the incredible natural beauty of the Andes along the way. And by the end of the day, we’ll make our way into Cusco, giving you a seamless transfer between two of Peru’s most iconic destinations.

Our adventure begins at 4 AM with a scenic drive to Rainbow Mountain. We’ll stop in Pucará for breakfast before continuing. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking landscapes, Andean villages, and herds of llamas and alpacas. We’ll pause at La Raya (4,335m), the highest point between Puno and Cusco, for stunning mountain views. Next, we’ll continue to the starting point of the hike. We’ll begin our ascent which will take about 1.5h. The trail winds through a valley where alpacas roam freely, and we’ll be treated to spectacular views of the Ausangate glacier along the way. As we climb higher, the vibrant colors of the mountain will begin to emerge. By the time we reach the summit, at 5,020m (16,466 feet), you’ll be standing in front of one of the most incredible views on the planet, you’ll have time to capture the stunning panorama of the multicolored slopes and the majestic peaks surrounding us. After that, we’ll descend back for around 1h. Once we return, we’ll head to a restaurant for lunch, and then to Cusco
