My country is beautiful and I love it, everything is full of energy and life that makes me feel alive and ready to let you know more about our traditions, history and cosmovision. I am sure that you won't ever forget this land of mystery for humankind. Peru has 47 native languages which means that we are different in 47 ways and also a mix of several cultures that have populated this land since thousends of years ago; only in my region we have almost 300 different dances, music and choreographies. I have worked in travel agencies in Lima (operations department), in hotels here in Puno and finally as a tour guide for the past twelve years, 15 years of experience in this industry! So you can be sure that your tour with me will be well organized, on time and you will receive exactly what you asked for. Come to Peru, come to lake Titikaka! I hold a Degree in Tourism and I am a licensed tour guide for Puno area. I also can pick you up/drop you off, from/in the airport (Juliaca), Cusco, the Colca Canyon, Rainbow mountain or the border with Bolivia, just contact me to custom your tour. I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

On this tour you will have the opportunity to sail by kayak in the north peninsula, in Llachon's community and the best thing is that you do not need to have previous experience, you just need desire to accomplish this goal. This is the only place on earth where you'll see this kind of man-hand creations, actually, many or all the visitors that I went with, told me that it was their life dream to visit Uros because they saw the photos in books when they were students or when a teacher taught them about a remote place in the middle of the lake. There is so much to say about the islands, their origin, and their people. It's fascinating what human beings are capable to build and how they managed to inhabit this area for so long. Come and discover it!
- At 7:30 hrs starts the tour picking you up from your hotel to go to the harbor of Puno. - By boat it takes 1h25 min to get to the floating islands - Once there, the locals will tell us about their costumes, customs, religion and how they live and how they made these islands with their own hands. - You will have time to buy handicrafts (optional) or to take a reed boat, or to take a walk and to take photos. - Then we will head to Llachón in the north peninsula (by boat). Here, in the main sector of the community we will meet Jesus, a native gentleman that has the kayaks for the tour, from here to the end of the peninsula takes one hour and a half (one hour kayaking and half to take a rest in between) - Lunch in Llachon is Jesus's house. Pachamanca (traditional highland food: chicken, sweet potato, faber bean; cooked in an oven made out of heated rocks) - Around 14:00hrs departure to Puno (by boat). 16:00hrs arrival. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to customize this tour.

To go to the harbor I pick a van for one to four people and a sprinter Mercedez Benz or Renault, for more than five. About the boat, it is a traditional boat and all of them have the same capacity (20 people), it does not have air conditioning or heater but is comfortable and it has a basic toilet, bus seats, a roof to take photos and a liscensed captain.
