The Aymara Route explores ancient Andean mysticism, technology, and heritage. At Aramu Muru or Hayumarca, a carved stone portal near Lake Titicaca, legends tell of priests traveling to other realms. The site attracts modern mystics seeking connection with its powerful energies. The Thunco Geoglyphs showcase pre-Inca agricultural innovation, creating microclimates for crop preservation. Molloco is a necropolis of chullpas (funerary towers) by the Lupaca culture, revealing their ancestral reverence. Lastly, Chucuito holds the Temple of Fertility with symbolic stone pillars honoring Pachamama. Each site offers profound insight into Andean beliefs, connecting visitors to ancient wisdom and spirituality.
I will pick you up from your hotel to visit the mysterious Interdimensional Portal, Aramu Muru. Here, you’ll find rock formations and a finely carved portal with a cleft in the middle. This place is said to radiate positive energies, making it perfect for mystical and spiritual rituals, as well as a deep connection with nature. Next, we’ll visit the impressive Chullpas de Molloco, a necropolis of the ancient Lupacas or Aymaras. These tubular and square structures served as burial sites for noblemen. Continuing our journey, we’ll head to the Thunco Geoglyphs, enormous formations designed to preserve agriculture during frost. Finally, we’ll arrive in Chucuito. Here, we’ll enter the "Inca Uyo" Fertility Temple, a sacred site believed to inspire miraculous events related to fertility. We’ll explore the main square, where you can admire the Renaissance-style Church of the Assumption and the sundial. After some free time for lunch in the town, we will return to the city of Puno.
