Hi, I'm Hugo! I was born and raised by Lake Titicaca, and Puno has been my home for most of my life. I've been guiding here since 2010, and I still get excited every time I take someone out on the lake for the first time. It all started in a simple way: travelers would stop me on the street to ask how to get somewhere or where to find a good meal, and I loved helping them. That's still what I enjoy most, making your trip easier and sharing the place I'm proud to call home. I'd love to show you the Uros floating islands, Taquile and Amantaní, and the quiet peninsulas of Llachón and Luquina. We can also visit the Sillustani tombs, walk through Puno and Chucuito, or travel together to Cusco or La Paz with stops along the way. I guide trips to Arequipa and Chivay too. No two travelers are the same, so I like to shape each tour around you: your pace, your interests and the time you have. Before you arrive I'll send you a few practical tips, and on the tour I'll tell you the stories and the everyday life behind each place, the way locals live it. Traveling from Puno to La Paz is a fascinating adventure that takes you to explorethe best spots on the Aymara route: Chucuito, Aramu Muru and Tiahuanaco. Temple of Fertility in Chucuito, where you will see the penis sculptures dedicated to the fertility on Inca's times. Aramu muru, also known as Hayu Marca or the Gate of the Gods, is a huge stone portal carved into the mountainside near Lake Titicaca. It is said to be a gateway to other dimensions and a place of high energy and spiritual power. In addition to the Aramu muru portal, you will also visit Tiahuanaco, which is an ancient archaeological site in Bolivia, often considered one of the most significant pre-Inca civilizations in the Andes, along with Puma Punku with its impressive stone architecture and monumental sculptures. Your Puno tour itinerary
Our adventure begins early in the morning from Puno, leading you through some of the most remarkable spots along the Aymara route. 30 min away, we'll arrive at the Temple of Fertility in Chucuito, which is dedicated to fertility in the times of the Incas. We'll continue to Aramu Muru, also known as Hayu Marca or the Gate of the Gods, we'll find ourselves in front of a massive stone portal carved into the mountainside near Lake Titicaca. This site is steeped in mystique, often described as a gateway to other dimensions and a place of high energy and spiritual power. After passing the border, in Tiahuanaco, a lunch break awaits us, then we'll visit Tiahuanaco archeological complex and Puma Punku. with their impressive stone architecture and monumental sculptures, because it is one of the most significant pre-Inca civilizations in the Andes. Finally, you will be arriving at La Paz downtown hotels (around Plaza Murillo or 500m around it), if your hotel is in other location, let me know to quote you properly.
