Two Days safari in Nanyuki with a private Guide

We shall drive north of Nairobi through the lush Kikuyu farmlands coffee and pineapple plantations to the cool Kenyan highlands across the Mighty Tana, one of the biggest rivers in Kenya. Along the way you will be able to see Karura falls in Aberdares Rain Forest. If the weather permits you shall see the peaks of Mt. Kenya 200 kms later and 6. 5 Km south of Nanyuki town is where the Equator line passes. It is a popular spot with tourists because of the supposed effect of the Coriolis force. The force makes draining water swirl clockwise or anticlockwise depending on whether one is on the northern or southern hemisphere, stagnant whilst on the line. Olpejeta is Situated between the foot hills of the Aberdares and the magnificent snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya, the 110, 000-acre private wilderness of the Ol Pejeta Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of wildlife, including all the members of the 'Big Five' (the endangered black and white rhino , leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion).

BRIEF ITINERARY Day 01 - Pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi at 07. 00 hrs and head to Nanyuki. On the way we shall have brief stop over at a kikuyu traditional village for entertainment or for lunch at Trout Tree Restaurant which is built in and around a huge Mugumo (Sacred Fig) Tree. Checking in at your hotel/lodge at 14. 00 hrs in Nanyuki. Thereafter you can opt to have a relaxing moment before heading out at around 15. 00 hrs tour within the town or visit a flower farm or do an evening game drive whereby we go up to Old Moses Camp at 3300M above sea level in Mt. Kenya National park. Day 2 - Leave the hotel at 05. 45 for an early game drive at Olpajeta Conservancy that hosts rhinos and chimpanzees amongst other wild animals. You will exit by 09. 00 hrs and head back to the hotel for breakfast and check out and head back for Nairobi. Drop off at your Hotel or the airport. Please remember this itinerary is flexible.
