Samburu National Reserve is situated alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River, there is plenty to attract wildlife from the surroundings. The reserve is rich in wildlife with an abundance of rare northern species such as the Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the beisa oryx (also referred to as Samburu Special Five). Lake Bogoria is a saline, alkaline lake and lies just south of Lake Baringo. With its ideal conditions it is home to one of the world's largest populations of lesser flamingoes. Due to the lake's alkalinity, blue green algae grows well, this in turn feeds the flamingoes. Part of the East African Rift Valley, Lake Baringo is one of only two freshwater Rift Valley lakes, together with Lake Naivasha. I am highly informed, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, great in planning and organization of your tour. I have travelled and taken travellers around this region for a long time, and I look forward to being your guide!
