Nairobi History & Wildlife: Ultimate Full-Day City Tour with Giraffe Encounters

Amos is so knowledgeable! He is seriously one of the best tour guides I've ever had. He knows a lot about the history of Kenya and had something to tell me about every place we went. My advice is to have him help you design your tour. He knew of places I didn't know to ask about. Over two days we hit the highlights like Nairobi National Park, the elephant orphanage, the giraffe center, and Karen Blixen's house, but he also took me on a great tour around Nairobi's city center and to a tea farm outside of town. If you're into art and culture, have him take you to the African Heritage House. It's a great place for dinner and a view, and every room is a treasure trove of historically and culturally significant art.

Amos was an amazing guide. His knowledge of the African Heritage house was astounding, but his respect for the home and the artifacts within spoke volumes about him. His background of the house and his personal relationship with the owner makes his stories so meaningful and insightful. He was patient with our questions and kind with his interactions. Our walk around the Central Business District was informative and enjoyable. He was always asking about our well being and made sure we could navigate the busy roads. I would 100% recommend Amos as a private guide and I would be remiss if I didn’t encourage people to visit the African Heritage House. It was our favorite thing in Nairobi. Amos was fabulous. We can't say enough about how generous he was in sharing his extensive knowledge about Nairobi's cultural and political history during our walking tour of Nairobi. We learned so much from him, starting with our visit to the national Gallery, and then walking around the city, and then viewing it from above at the convention center. At my request Amos took us to the Kazuri workshop where we have a delicious lunch as well. Five stars and then some.

Amos made our day, the tour exceeded our expectations. We got lots of insights and info and the pace was perfect for our teenage kids. I definitely recommend the tour with Amos as a guide. Super knowledgeable, kind and friendly.
