Ahlan wa Sahlan – Welcome to Jordan! My name is Jihad, and it would be my pleasure to welcome you to Jordan—the country I proudly call home. Born and raised in Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, I have spent my life exploring Jordan's remarkable history, breathtaking landscapes, and rich cultural traditions. As a licensed Jordanian tour guide and a registered member of the Jordan Tour Guides Association (JTGA) since 2011, I have had the privilege of introducing travelers from around the world to the authentic Jordan beyond the guidebooks. Whether you're dreaming of standing before Petra's magnificent Treasury, experiencing the silence of Wadi Rum, floating effortlessly in the Dead Sea, exploring the Roman city of Jerash, or discovering hidden places that most visitors never see, I will create a journey designed around your interests, pace, and travel style. ## Why Travel With Me? I believe the best tours are not about rushing from one attraction to another—they're about meaningful experiences, genuine conversations, and unforgettable moments. When you travel with me, you'll enjoy: * Fully customized private tours throughout Jordan * Authentic local experiences beyond the typical tourist route * Fascinating stories that bring Jordan's history and culture to life * Flexible itineraries tailored to your interests and schedule * Comfortable private transportation for individuals, couples, families, and small groups * Honest recommendations for restaurants, hotels, and local experiences Whether you're passionate about archaeology, biblical history, photography, hiking, Bedouin culture, or simply experiencing Jordan at a relaxed pace, I'll ensure your trip is both enriching and enjoyable. ## My Promise From the moment you arrive until the day you leave, my goal is to make your journey seamless, comfortable, and unforgettable. I take pride in treating every guest as a friend rather than a tourist, sharing the warmth and hospitality for which Jordanians are known. I look forward to welcoming you with our traditional greeting: **Ahlan wa Sahlan—Welcome to Jordan. Let's discover its wonders together.** *** Credentials * Licensed Jordan Tour Guide * Registered Member of the Jordan Tour Guides Association (JTGA) since 2011 * More than a decade of professional guiding experience * Born and raised in Petra, offering genuine local insight and authentic experiences throughout Jordan

Discover Petra, Jordan’s legendary rose-red city, on a **3-hour private guided walking tour** led by a licensed local guide born and raised in Petra. This immersive experience takes you through the ancient Nabataean capital, uncovering the history, architecture, and hidden stories behind one of the world's most fascinating archaeological sites. Walk through the spectacular **Siq Canyon** and discover Petra’s most iconic landmarks, including the **Treasury (Al-Khazneh), Street of Facades, Royal Tombs, Theatre,** and **Colonnaded Street**. Unlike a standard sightseeing tour, this experience is personalized around your interests, pace, and curiosity. Whether you're passionate about archaeology, photography, history, or simply want to understand Petra through the eyes of a local, I'll create a memorable journey filled with authentic insights and stories you won't find in guidebooks.
Your private Petra tour begins at the Petra Visitor Center, where you will meet your licensed local guide. Start your journey with an introduction to the history of Petra and the Nabataean civilization that transformed this desert landscape into one of the ancient world’s greatest cities. Walk through the spectacular Siq Canyon, the natural gateway to Petra, while discovering ancient water channels, rock carvings, and stories of the Nabataeans. Continue to the iconic Treasury (Al-Khazneh), where your guide will explain its architecture, history, and the mysteries behind this world-famous monument. Explore the ancient city, including the Street of Facades, Nabataean Theatre, Royal Tombs, and Colonnaded Street, while learning about Petra’s role as a major trading center and its engineering triumphs. Enjoy a flexible pace with local insights, stories, and photography. The tour concludes inside Petra, allowing you to continue exploring independently or return to the main entrance at your own pace.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
Petra does not allow regular transportation inside the archaeological site. The only available option is the official electric carts, which I do not usually recommend for this experience because Petra is best enjoyed on foot, allowing you to appreciate the details, scenery, history, and hidden stories along the way without rushing through the site. I recommend walking at a comfortable pace to fully experience the Siq, Treasury, ancient city, and main highlights. However, if you prefer, you may choose to use the electric cart on the way back to the entrance after completing the tour.
